Chocolate Cherry Mice
They’re not traditional Halloween fare but they’re so cute and in a bunch they’ll be a hit as a homemade treat.
4-8 oz. jars of Maraschino cherries with stems
1 pkg milk chocolate bark
1 pkg sliced almonds
1 pkg Hershey’s kisses
Melt chocolate bark in the microwave or over a double boiler till rich and creamy.
Toast almond slices.
To make the mouse’s body and tail, dip a cherry into the melted almond bark and place on wax paper.
For the head, use an unwrapped Hershey kiss on the other end of the cherry’s stem.
Place two toasted sliced almond between the cherry and Hershey kiss for ears.
Let cool until the chocolate sets.
Dip a small clean coloring brush in melted chocolate and dot the Hershey kiss to create eyes and emphasize the nose.
