Kalesa ni Maria

Kalesa ni Maria was created by a girl in pajamas, in a half-done rental house, who’d rather buy a server than a table for the kitchen.

The idea for Kalesa has been brewing and stewing for years. I’ve always wanted to create something that benefits Filipino women — enriching our lives and helping us strengthen family bonds while finding ways to have our own financial independence.

I have always wondered why I hopped from job to job, never holding two jobs of the same nature or in the same industry. But I’ve always felt that somehow those “careers” will be of use in my Kalesa project. True enough, every experience I’ve had in the past - sales, marketing, customer service, web development, IT support, traveler –culminated into bringing Kalesa ni Maria into a reality. That and a healthy relationship with my mom.

This web site starts as a resource for everyday living that Filipinas at home and abroad can relate to while we continue to research and refine features that will be added to the web site as it grows and is shaped by its community.

Kalesa ni Maria is as much yours as it is mine. I sincerely believe that every Filipina, deserves a space devoted to her, shaped by her and brings a community of friends wherever she may end up carving her corner of the world.
